The Working Group Against Torture is a part of Amnesty International's Danish section. The group consists of volunteer members with different backgrounds. We believe that torture is too widespread in the world and we would like to change that fact.

The objectives of the group are to:

• Create awareness about torture and its consequences 

• Call on governments all over the world to ratify and respect the international conventions against torture

• Participate in Amnesty International's campaigns and actions on torture

• Provide knowledge about torture for other Danish Amnesty groups to benefit from
